I started Butler Performance because too many owners get stuck choosing between a cookie-cutter template that doesn't fit and a big agency that overcharges and disappears. There's a better option: software built around how your business actually works, by someone who answers the phone.

Before Butler Performance

I played Division I baseball at Georgia Tech and worked as a PGA Golf Professional at the private country club level. I've also served as a firefighter and spent years in software sales and product strategy before I started building full time. Every one of those jobs keeps score, and nobody cares how hard you worked if the result isn't there. That's the standard every build is held to.

Why a partner, and why Tyrus

Butler Performance grew one owner at a time, by word of mouth, with the person who built the system on the other end of the phone. The only way to take that to a new city without watering it down is a partner who carries the same standard. I met mine as a client. Building The Recruiting Assist with Tyrus Thomas, I watched him hold every screen to the same bar I do.
