Sports Media Platform

Live team data. Not pictures of pages.

Pressbox is our platform for school sports programs: a preseason media guide built for the phone in the stands, a new chapter after every week of the season, and a yearbook that builds itself when it ends. Every stat comes from one live record, every player gets a page, and every sponsor gets a report that shows who saw their placement.

Why we built it

Pressbox started when we took apart the media guides school programs were paying for. Most are magazine layouts exported as pictures of pages and wrapped in a page-flipping viewer. They look sharp on a laptop. On a phone in the stands the pages shrink, the words stop being words, and every fix waits on a designer. Because the text is baked into images, Google can't index it and screen readers can't read it. Video links out to Instagram, and a sponsor gets a logo in a book with no way to see who looked at it.

We built the opposite: a platform where the content is live team data, so the guide reads like a real page on any phone and a stat fixed once is right everywhere.

What we built

  • A preseason media guide built for the phone: roster, coaches, schedule, program history, records, Q&As and senior spotlights in real text, with unlimited pages and a print-ready edition included
  • A chapter after every week: the final, the box score, the player of the game, photos, quotes and video, built from blocks in the Studio in minutes, not a week of waiting on a designer
  • One live record of every stat: season stats, leaders, game logs and the yearbook are all computed from the box scores, so nothing is typed twice
  • A page for every player, with bio, stats, honors and highlights, a share card sized for Instagram, and a link to that athlete's profile on The Recruiting Assist
  • A yearbook that builds itself from every chapter when the season ends, with final stats, results and senior tributes
  • One QR code for the whole season, printed from the Studio, that always opens the newest chapter, so the poster on the gym door never goes out of date
  • A sponsor engine: a rate card, online reservations, placements across the season by package, and a private report for every sponsor. The team keeps 100% of sponsor revenue
  • The Studio, where a coach or a team parent publishes chapters, keeps the roster and scores current, and tracks every sponsor from pending to paid

Sponsors who can see the numbers

A logo in a printed book is a donation. A placement in every chapter, with a report that shows who saw it and who clicked, is advertising. Every sponsor gets a private report link with impressions, clicks and their best chapters, and an impression only counts when the ad is on screen for a second or more. That report is the conversation that gets the check signed again next season.

What the screens show

The Riverbend Academy Hawks are Pressbox's built-in sample program: the school, the players, the games and the sponsors are fictional, and the photos are free-license stock. KJ Ashford is the same sample athlete who appears on The Recruiting Assist, and his Pressbox page links to his recruiting profile there.

The result

One link a program can put on the gym door, in the program and at the concession stand that covers the whole season: a guide fans can actually read in the stands, a chapter every week, a yearbook at the end, and a sponsor program that sells itself again next year. Pressbox is a Butler Performance platform, built and run by the same team behind our platforms and sports websites.
